It is amazing to know that wherever in the world I go, the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is the same and true. It has been such a strength to come to Las Vegas, be in the middle of all the hubbub each day, but to walk into a church building and to feel the spirit. Something that was an even greater strength to me was Friday night - I went to the Vegas temple and the spirit was overwhelming. It was so amazing to have complete silence (except for my tiny giggling moment that I had) in the middle of a crazy city. The temple, as I could have guessed, was completely gorgeous and miraculous, inside and outside (seeing it at night was phenomenal - i have seen it in the day, but night was just as gorgeous).
Something unique about the temple was that there was a garden area that can only be accessed from inside. When we went out to see it, the only noise was the lit fountains. It was gorgeous, and warm, and full of the spirit. I have a new love for this temple. Temples just come with such an extra spirit! I am so blessed to be a member of the Church!!
*Sorry if this post is jambled and confusing - I don't express feelings well (esp. when I'm sleepy)
